Imagine a cosy village in Provence on top of a hill raised high above the challenges and noise of everyday life. Peace and quiet with a view of the river Siagne and the surrounding mountains. A small town square with a bistro that serves good food and wine at affordable prices. Our French stonehouse offers all that with room for 12 people.

You can rent our house. The house has 4 bedrooms and a fabulous pool and poolhouse. It’s located on a secluded south-west facing hillside on the outskirts of the quaint medieval village with unobstructed views. The large garden is accessed by a driveway that leads you to the house where you will find covered parking and easy access to the main house.

About

A life long love affair with France and everything French lead Anne and Bjarne to purchase their dream stonehouse. Anne has been vacationing in France since her childhood and worked here as an au pair to finesse her command of the French language. She knew exactly what she wanted and it took Bjarne countless hours (years actually) on the internet to search for that house. The typical Provence stonehouse with a pool and views to let the eye wander. They absolutely love it and hope you will as well.

The house

If you would like to vacation in Southern France then you are welcome to rent our house. You can check yourself in or someone will be able to meet you to go over any practical questions and hand you the keys.

The house is a classic French stonehouse with large floor to ceiling windows split over 2 floors. It has a large garden that overlooks the surrounding hills and the river that runs just below the house.

We loved our stay at this nice house with the amazing lovely garden. It is such a beautiful setting. Everything felt so nice and luxurious. So tastefully decorated in every way way.

The house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The master bedroom has ensuite bathroom and its own private balcony.

The house is setup and equipped to accommodate 12 people.

There is a large open plan living room diner with a fireplace. Next to the pool we have the pool house equipped with a full kitchen, a BBQ and a wood burning pizzaoven. Next to the pool area you will find a 3-hole putting green and our citrus grove.

We have fiber internet installed, so there is bandwidth for even the most savy Instagram and Twitter users. In the living room diner and the poolhouse you will be able to play music on sound system, stream movies on flatscreen TVs or use the PS4.

When you arrive at the property the first you will notice is the gate house. From there the palm treelined driveway takes you up to the main house. Raised above the village the house is completely secluded and private. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquility.

The house is located in the village Auribeau-sur-Siagne, between Cannes, Mougins and Grasse. We think the location is the perfect balance between country and city living. It’s a 15 min drive to Cannes and the coast. You can enjoy all the perks and bustle of the Cote d’Azur during the day and then retreat to the house for some quality family time at night.

In Auribeau we have a handful of restaurants, a drugstore, a wineshop and of course a bakery with crispy baguettes and warm croissants. In Pegomas (5 min away) we have several supermarkets, more shops and restaurants. We are 30 minutes from Nice airport via the A8 motorway.

There are a lot of exciting things to experience during your holiday.

You can see and hear the Siagne river from the house, so you don’t have to go far if you want a swim in the rivers clean water or enjoy life standing waist deep in water with a fly fishing rod.

It is possible to swim in the river’s clean water. If a trip to the South of France sounds more like something with a beach, sand and umbrellas, we have 10 km / 15 min to the sea. The closest beach is in Mandelieu-la-Napoule, where you will also find good restaurants in the marina.

The local markets abounds with delicious fresh food. What better way to spend time than taking a trip to the market to shop for a delicious lunch or dinner to enjoy on the terrace?

If you are a group of girlfriends on holiday, then you can visit the world-famous perfumeries in Grasse or go shopping and people watching on La Croisette in Cannes.

If you proudly call yourself a Foodie and have an Instagram account to back it up, then you’ve come to the right place. French gastronomy is world class and there are no less than 77 Michelin star restaurants in Provence. Of course, less will do just as well.

If the 3-hole putting green at the house leaves you unchallenged, you have less than 10 km / 15 min to Royal Mougins Golf & Golf De Saint Donat.

Lots of good wine is grown in the area. You can visit the vineyards and stock up on the local rose wine or sample beer at one of the microbreweries in the area.

The area is ideal for outdoor activities like running, cycling and hiking. The hiking trails start right here in our village. You can walk or trail-run to the neighbouring villages for a coffee or perhaps lunch. Most roads here are small and almost without cars. We can see the our closest neighbor – the Tanneron nature park – from the house and you can climb 3000 m on a 100 km route if that sounds like fun. Or you can ride gravel bikes or MTB through the nearby Tanneron and nearby Esterel nature parks.
